Man has been searching for actual proof of reincarnation ever since the subject of mortality became clear to him. Every world religion has some sort of reincarnation it keeps relating to. History tells us that the ‘idea’ of reincarnation originates from eastern religions and has a big part to play in the subject of Karma. In fact, a recent Gallup Poll revealed that 1 in 4 Americans believed in reincarnation.

Dr. Ian Stevenson

Dr. Ian Stevenson is based at the University of Virginia and he has devoted much of his life to finding actual proof of reincarnation. At the university he is the Director of the Division of Perceptual Studies.

He has spent over 40 years studying past life cases of children from various countries of the world. He claims now to have over 3000 cases which involve these children and many people now believe them to be actual proof of reincarnation.

Stevenson claims that birthmarks and birth defects are indications of how the child died in their past life. The defects are thought to be death wounds brought forward from the previous life.

The most fascinating of these cases is the incident that involved a child named Lekh Pal. This boy remembered a terrible accident in his last life where he lost all of the fingers on his right hand. In his current life he was actually born missing the digits of his right hand.

Child Prodigies

Some people believe that savants and child prodigies are actual proof of reincarnation. These children demonstrate quite wonderful skills that allow them to stand out from the human crowd. Child prodigies, for example, may have acquired certain skills to such high degrees in a past life that those skills become deeply embedded in their consciousness. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart started off life as one of these child prodigies and on many occasions he claimed to have lived through past lives. He firmly believed that he had been a musician in all of his reincarnations and his fantastic talent was built from these lives combined. Not so long ago I stumbled across another story about one of these so-called child prodigies in a tabloid newspaper. His name was Kieron Williamson and he was just ten years old. Kieron had a wonderful talent for painting watercolors since the age of six. He has now become known as the ‘Mini-Monet’ and his landscapes are sought-after around the world, selling for up to £35,000 each.

Reincarnation

Reincarnation is still the greatest mystery yet to be solved but some of the proof offered is becoming more and more fascinating. Feelings of Deja-vu and visions through our dreams are also thought to be related to incidents in our past lives.

There are also claims that twisted sexuality could be linked to the reincarnation process.

Could homosexuality and transgender tendencies be the result of living a past life as a different gender?
